{recipe} the best smoothie

Before I talk about this smoothie, I just want to take a hot minute to direct you to this adorable blog where I'm guest posting today! Dani and I just "virtually" became friends (hi Dani!) and I'm enamored with her blog. Spend a little time over there today and then come back and make this smoothie! Thanks for having me, Dani!

I don't really like fruit. It's a textural thing for me. Too many fruits have skins, seeds, veins and just overall weird textures that I can't deal with. Smoothies, however, are my jam. I used to only get the Peanut Butter Moo'd smoothie from Jamba Juice because I was basically afraid of all fruit except for bananas. I've since grown up a little and started to brand out. Now I'm all about different fruits in my smoothies, even veggies too!

This concoction below has been my go-to for awhile now. I'm always changing it up based on my mood but I've found this combination to be pretty awesome. I like this smoothie because it seems to have the right balance of flavors and keeps me full for a LONG time thanks to healthy fats like coconut milk and nut butter. The fruit provides the sugary jolt I need to wake up and the Amazing Meal provides the "green" part.

The Best Smoothie

1 cup almond milk
1 scoop Cafe Mocha Amazing Meal
1/2 frozen banana
1/3 cup frozen blueberries
1/4 cup frozen pineapple
heaping spoonful of peanut butter or almond butter
1/4 cup coconut milk (the real stuff that comes in a can, shake well)

Blend to oblivion. Add a little more almond milk if things are getting stuck.
